August 08 September 08 October 08 November 08 December 08 January 09 SEASONAL FORECASTS IN EUROPE
![]() In
Europe:
The end of autumn should go along the same way as the two previous months with cool temperatures, even cold over the major part of the continent. Winter may even be ahead of time between Russia and Poland, and though less cold, from the west to the north of France up to England. However these cold conditions should be due to high pressures which should maintain a dry weather all over the north of Europe. Only the Maghreb and the half south of the Iberian Peninsula should have soft temperatures in November, but rains should be abundant in Spain and Portugal. Precipitations should also be more important then usual from the Near East to Italy. In France: November should be close to normal seasonal data in France, as far as temperatures are concerned. A slight deficit may be expected over the northern regions and frosts should be quite frequent in most of the regions, compensated by relatively warm afternoons. Precipitations should also be close to the average seasonal data, except for the north of the Loire where a deficit is expected. The daily sun should be up and shine longer than usual.
